He Is Not A Man...
Numbers 23:19 (Amplified Bible)
19) God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?

I have had so many conversations with girlfriends and female family members alike, and I have heard these very words uttered, " He is my man or I would want him to be my man because, or something of that nature. I had a friend who had just entered into a new relationship when asked how things were going with them, replied, "you know how men can be." The character of man is defined by who is viewing him, but more often by who they are in contact with. Mankind, in general will manipulate words, actions and behaviors to suit the method or mode needed to dominate and subdue their environment, or to yield the result necessary for them to come out in the dominate position. It is not about the truth, but about the illusion of what truth may be in the eyes of one.
I am so thankful that God is not like that. We never have to worry about God trying to impress us or manipulate the situation to His advantage. He is the advantage and He already has the upper hand. What you read about God and experience through relationship and interaction with Him is really who He is. Often because we have been exposed to the iniquity and the sinful side of mankind we find it hard to see God not as a man that will hurt, misuse and/ or abuse us. We struggle with giving ourselves whole heartedly to Him because we are waiting for the other shoe to drop, we are waiting for Him to disappoint us, walk out on us or give up on us. But that is not God, He is not fallible, or easily swayed. He is solid, remember He is the Rock (of our salvation). God loves us with an everlasting love, one that stands through our all eternity and does not fail us or give up on us even when we fall or disappoint Him, remember "He loves us with and everlasting Love."
God is wanting us to see Him for who He truly is, one that does no carry the attributes that will harm, but ones that heal, he does not tear down, without the plan to build up, He does not give up, but He gave up, His only begotten son, so that you and I both could have a right to the tree of life, that surely does not sound like any man I know!
