Psalm 145:16-21 (New Living Translation)
16) When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing. 17) The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness. 18) The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth. 19) He grants the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cries for help and rescues them. 20) The Lord protects all those who love him, but he destroys the wicked. 21) I will praise the Lord, and may everyone on earth bless his holy name forever and ever.

Hello All. Today’s Message in the Music is from the Song I Found My Everything by Mary J. Blige and Musiq. This song was actually “dedicated” to me by a man who I have given my everything to. The song is simply about finding that special person who makes your world feel complete. The song is about connecting with a person on a level that no other person has been able to achieve.
Well, while most of the country was watching the Super Bowl, I was in a deep thought and total isolation from everything going on. I cried out to God and asked how someone I’ve been everything to could continue to be nothing to me? How could someone I have basically laid down my life for, disregard me because they didn’t have a need for me in a moment? God simply told me, “welcome to the club”.
I didn’t understand what that meant. I’m crying my eyes out and just need a word of encouragement, a nugget of strength………….and this is what I get Well, I sat and LISTENED to God explain that he goes through this all the time. He has been everything to us; our peace, our joy, our strength. He gave us his precious gift so that we may have life and the opportunity to live it more abundantly. He blesses us, heals us, provides for us, and loves us unconditionally and some of us still view him as nothing but a wish granter.
Some of us only pray when we have a need, trust when we have ran out of options, and praise when He has given us a blessing “worth mentioning.”. I don’t know how we can continually give and give to men/women on Earth who don’t deserve our devotion, but we have to force ourselves to commune with God. We waste so much time waiting on that person to call, text, email, or show up when we can chat with God, anytime and anyplace. He is never too busy for us, but we are always too busy for Him. There is nothing He wouldn’t do for us, but we always have a list of what we will and won’t do for Him.
I was just talking to Lisa the other day about Beyonce’s Put a Ring On It song, because most people miss the meaning of the song. They think, because of the hook, it’s about a woman and a man getting married- - -or not getting married- - -but it’s not. The song is about a woman being a man’s everything for 3 years and he not understanding the gift that God gave him, so she finally leaves but finds another man who wants to “put a ring on it, “. Then her ex realizes what he had and wants her back, but she is not thinking about him anymore. Let’s not let this happen to us with God. Let’s not appreciate God so little that, He leaves us and moves on to the next person before we realize we lost the greatest thing in our life- -- - our life line- - -- Jesus Christ.
