Yes Lord
1 Samuel 15:22 (New Living Translation)
22 But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.
This past Sunday at church we had a special kind of guest speaker pastor. He was old school but attempted to mix a little new school into his sermon. Although he had some very good points in his sermon the part that stuck out the most was his old school YYYYEEEEESSSSSSSSS!! Now, when we were in church this was a very hilarious moment for a few people in my section, but yesterday morning it became a very surreal moment for me.
I had just dropped Jaida off at preschool and was heading to work, when the Lord dropped that YYYYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS in my spirit. He told me that although I had thought it funny what had happened in church, I had not fully said YYYEEEEEESSS to His will in my life. He showed me that I had said Yes to the areas that I wanted to and the rest I was leaving for His grace to deal with.
So many times in our daily lives, we are faced with decisions that require us to either say Yes or No to what will be pleasing unto God. The yes’s that require the most sacrifice and pain, are the ones that will bring about true relationship, true character, and true destiny in our lives.
Today as we prepare to enter hump day, let us begin to turn our no’s, maybe’s, and one day soon’s………into Yes Lord. Yes to Your will and Yes to Your way. No matter the cost, show God He is truly priceless to you..
