Words Of Encouragement For Your Day (Tuesday 06/05/2012)

Before I Let Go
2 Chronicles 36:14-16 Amplified Bible (AMP)
14 Also all the chiefs of the priests and the people trespassed greatly in accord with all the abominations of the heathen, and they polluted the house of the Lord which He had hallowed in Jerusalem.15 And the Lord, the God of their fathers, sent to them persistently by His messengers, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place.16 But they kept mocking the messengers of God and despising His words and scoffing at His prophets till the wrath of the Lord rose against His people, till there was no remedy or healing.
I heard Frankie Beverly’s song “Before I let Go,” as I listened to this song the Holy Spirit began to speak to me in reference to God letting God.  As I sat in the midst of many people and a lot going on I couldn’t shake the feeling that some of us have the wrong impression about God and what He will and will not do, especially when it comes to letting us go.  As I sat I thought about the love that the prodigal son’s father had for him, and how he had raised him right and modeled what he should have grown into, but yet with all he had sown into him and as much as he loved him, he allowed (let) him to go, even when he understood the potential dangers of his choices and actions.  I also thought how God could leave us when He promised not to leave us, but God cannot and will not dwell among sin; and it is our choices to abide with sin that will cause us to be separated from Him and His anointing, protection, and provision to leave us. He promised never to leave us when we make the choice to be with Him, but when we choose otherwise, the promise of His abiding is no longer valid, and God will allow us to go and do our thing, minus Him.
Many of us are looking for God to shelter us even in our wrongs and to use Him, His people and His Word as a means to do as we please, but God warns us before He pulls up stakes, or lets go of our hand.  He never places judgment without first letting us know that we a have gone astray, but it is our job to search ourselves and to allow the conviction of the Holy Spirit access to our lives to turn us away from sin and towards truth.  We can look to the Bible and see before every act of judgment or before God’s anointing was removed from an individual He sent warnings in an attempt to get the person’s or nation’s attention.  Why do we think today is any different.  God is speaking to many of us about our choices, our behaviors and our living, and we are not listening, We are hiding behind grace in the attempt to justify our actions, thoughts and words and we are picking and choosing what scriptures we apply in an attempt to stay in a safe zone and have God still abide with us.  But many us are so busy doing our thing and living that lie, we have not even noticed that God has left us to ourselves, he has dropped our hand and we are walking alone.  We have become reprobate.  We aren’t consulting Him anymore, we are consulting and looking to people and things for our standard.  We are no longer leaning on Him we are leaning on our emotions, on our thoughts, choices and perspective. We aren’t looking to His word, we are looking around us and living based upon what we assume is the way.  God has grown tired after several chances and warnings He has gone from us.  But do we even noticed His absence?
God is speaking loud and clear, but many of us are not hearing Him.  Others of us have chosen not to heed His advice or warnings and continue to live in a system of misbeliefs, lies, manipulation, deceit and intentional misleading of others in an attempt to have the upper hand.  But God told us that He is no respecter of person.  He also said those He loves He chastens.  But He also allowed us to choose our path and to operate under free will to choose life or death. Some of us are choosing death, because we have chosen not to heed his voice. The Bible in Hebrews 4:6-8 reminds us that there are consequences to failing to be obedient, in a place of submission and following God’s commands, there will be no obtaining of the promise. It also reminds us not to harden our hearts when we hear God’s voice.  Many have chosen to do just that becoming desensitized to His Word, the conviction of His Spirit and to obedience to His Will.  We are doing it our way and thinking God is still with us, when He has warned us and is in the process of letting us go, if He already has not.  We have to begin to check ourselves, our motives, our thoughts, our actions, behaviors and words, for these may be the things that have corrupted God’s living space.  He has been knocking at the door, but you have chosen not to answer, He has tried pulling at your heart strings, but you have become so harden you can’t feel it; He is trying to let many of us know He has had quite enough, but we aren’t available for Him.  I know I always say I won’t stay where I am not wanted, don’t think for a minute that God will either.Heb
