Words Of Encouragement To Start The Day ( Wednesday 11/04/09)

But God…

Psalm 124:1-8 (Amplified Bible)

1IF IT had not been the Lord Who was on our side--now may Israel say--

2If it had not been the Lord Who was on our side when men rose up against us,

3Then they would have quickly swallowed us up alive when their wrath was kindled against us;

4Then the waters would have overwhelmed us and swept us away, the torrent would have gone over us;

5Then the proud waters would have gone over us.

6Blessed be the Lord, Who has not given us as prey to their teeth!

7We are like a bird escaped from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped!

8Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

Yesterday I had two people that are precious in my life come under attack in two vastly different ways, but they were attacks none the less. First, my father was challenge in his body when they found a blood clot in his arm, when he went to dialysis. In spite of how dangerous blood clots can be, this one was contained, surgery was done and the condition dealt with quickly and efficiently. My father came home the same day, BUT GOD! Secondly, one of my best friends was hit by a drunk driver and the car he was driving was badly damaged but in spite of how badly the car was damaged, he made it out with no visible damage only soreness in his back and sides, BUT GOD! Back in July I had an episode at work, where I was suffering from what everyone thought was a severe migraine headache, but little did we all know when I returned from lunch I felt off balanced and dizzy. I was sick to my stomach and not myself. Before I knew it I loss consciousness for a brief moment, when the paramedics arrived my blood pressure was 166/108. One of the paramedics said that was dangerously high, when my mother arrived at my place of employment she began to pray, immediately God intervened and my blood pressure slowly began to decrease, and eventually returned to normal, before I had a stroke, But God!

Today as I spoke with my friend who had been in the car accident, as we spoke he said it was a sign for him to “tighten it up.” I chuckled, and asked him “oh you caught that, huh,” he said “yes.” It was the realization that without God that he probably would not have been alive to speak of his experience. You see God said not so, even when the enemy might have wanted his life to be over. So many times the enemy seeks to destroy us, take us out or cause us harm, discouragement or something negative, but the word of God states in Genesis 50:20(a) “As for you, you thought evil against me, but God meant it for good.” There are more times than not, that we are in the midst of events in our lives and if God was not present and looking after us, that we would suffer hurt, harm, and even sacrifice our very lives. BUT GOD, His very presences stays the hand of the enemy in our lives and is able to open up our eyes or remind us that He is ever present and ever keeping us in His care. He Loves us enough to assign angels to protect us, that He renews mercy each morning for us and He bestow grace over our lives time and time again…As my dear friend and sister in Christ texted me today as she faced yet another test, But God, for it is her realization of God, that assures her that what she faces is not unto death, but unto, life in Christ in a new and very real way.

Whatever we face today, or have been facing or have yet to face, know, BUT GOD! It is God that keeps us, because no matter how bad, traumatic, upsetting, unnerving and unfair, it could be much worse, BUT GOD means that we get to live again to fight another day, we get to fall upon our Knees and again surrender all to God. BUT GOD gives us another chance to get up again, stand, walk and run; even when we are told we would never…God loves us enough to afford us a BUT GOD that saves us and sees us through…
