With You Nothing Else Matters
Psalm 27:7-9 Amplified Bible (AMP)
7Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; have mercy and be gracious to me and answer me! 8You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need]. My heart says to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word]. 9Hide not Your face from me; turn not Your servant away in anger, You Who have been my help! Cast me not off, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation!
Over the weekend I have had some phone calls, text messages and moments of counsel, where all that could be relayed and impressed upon my spirit in those moments was God wants us; He wants us to be sold out to Him and seeking Him for everything that concerns us. We have to get to the point where nothing else matters. In Christ Brown’s song “With You,” one of the verses says, “And you mean to me… What I mean to you… And together baby… There is nothin we won't do…
Cuz if I got you… I don't need money… I don't need cars… Girl you're my all.” When do we get to the point of understanding that God wants us to want Him as much as He wants us? That no matter what that if we have or have not, if people do or do not that we still, have Him and that is all that really matters, but more over that is all we really need.

In life we often have plans for our lives, and we have thoughts about how things should go. We want to control all the elements that are concerning us, to include what God does for us and doesn’t do for us. Who God allows in our lives and who He doesn’t. But God is saying if you love me the way you proclaim you do, none of that really matters, because knowing that we have the ultimate savior, the ultimate deliverer, the ultimate partner, the ultimate friend, the ultimate business partner, the ultimate mate in Him that nothing else really matters because He is able to do the exceeding great things that our plans lack and people are not capable of giving us. When God becomes our all, we have more than enough and things that seem so challenging and significant, things that we used to care about become a non-care, a non-factor. We learn that we are in the hands of the Master planner and He will establish all that concerns us. That is not to say that we stop planning or even stop thinking or feeling, but we understand that God before us is a plan of success that cannot be beat, and when we learn to rest in Him we stress less about what is or is not going on around us, with us or others. The Bible encourages us to hunger and thirst after God (Isaiah 26:9, Psalms 42:1). It also encourages us to desire the sincere things (Hebrews 11:14).
God wants us to want Him. He wants us to desire Him above ALL else. He wants our attention, focus, and love to be His, and for us to be satisfied that we have Him even when it seems like our plans, ideals, purpose and mindset and the people around us are not measuring up to what it is that we think. God wants us to get, to a point, where the thing that matters most is Him and all else is small or insignificant in comparison. My mentor used to say to me many times “I have the attitude, Take the world but give me Jesus.” That is real. Because when we really have Jesus and are connected to God through Him and by the working of the Holy Spirit we have it all and then some!
