Choose Happiness over the Mess

Yesterday we started the process of choosing happiness when we decided to get rid of the drama in our lives. Today its time to step that up a bit by digging deeper into our relationship with the Father. True happiness comes from within. Its not about the balance in your bank accounts, the car in your driveway, the number of bedrooms in your home, or any other material possession you may own. True happiness is a benefit of salvation.
There is a part in the song about having the power to choose to be happy. She says " I just wanna be happy, but the answer lies in me." We may not have the power to control the situations life throws at us, but we can control if we will catch it, hit it, knock it out of the park, or let it blind side us and hit us dead in the face.
Happiness is not something that you can buy, package or sell. Its something that we all must choose to have and walk in. As we start this hump day off, let us decide happiness over mess. Let's pick truth over lies and good over evil. Today let's walk in the spirit and not the flesh. I just got back from a very usual weekend get-a-way, and even though I lost something that made me very happy, I didn't lose my happiness. Happiness can't be stolen, it can only be given away. As Captain Plantet would say............"The power is yours."
