Words Of Encouragement To Start The Day ( Friday 5/1/09)

Today's Devotional Written By A Woman That God Is Using To Reach The Generations, Tracy Koweh....

Can't Be Without You........

Deuteronomy 5:6-8 (Amplified Bible)

6I am the Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

7You shall have no other gods before Me or besides Me.

8You shall not make for yourself [to worship] a graven image or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth.

Today's blog will be a compilation of Mary songs. Kicking us off is "I'm
Going Down". The song is about losing your will to get back up again
because one person has walked out on you or hurt you. In the song Mary says
her "WHOLE world is upside down". There is no problem with sharing our
world with another individual, but when we make that person our entire
reason for being we have made them an idol. We have placed them before the
Father and He will only allow that to go on for so long before He removes
that person or thing. Our God is a faithful and loving God, but He is also
a jealous God. How much of an insult to Him, when we cherish a man/ woman/
or child above Him? and how much more of an insult when its a person who
treats us like a mere object that has little or no real value in their
life.

The second Mary song is "Real Love". In this song Mary has realized that
the man she thought was the real thing was nothing but a perpetrator, and
now she has decided to go searching a "real love". As a woman we should not
be searching after the love of no man. The Bible says HE that finds a wife,
finds a good thing, not SHE. In the song she says "I've been searching for
someone, To satisfy my every need. Won't you be my inspiration, Be the real
love that I need" and then she says " So I try my best and pray to God,
He'll send me someone real. To caress me and to guide me towards, a love my
heart can feel."  Well, God has done just that for each of us. He sent His
son Jesus to satisfy every want, need and desire we could every dream of.
He is available 24/7 for every man and woman who will invite Him in.

I just recently finished Steve Harvey's book and he said that it wasn't
until he got his priorities in line that he was able to fully enjoy life.
He said it's God first, family second, education and career third. Most
times we go in the reverse order. We put so much energy and time into
getting our education and career in order so that we can start a family and
then give it all to God. Well, I've learned now, that Iike Mary says in her
song "Be Without You" , that I can't be without Him. God has to be first
and foremost in our lives over any and anything. He will work everything
else out. The family, the house, the car, the career. He just wants to know
that we will be totally fulfilled and satisfied if all we have is Him. The
family, friends, and material possessions are all just added bonuses he
blesses us with.

So as we prepare to enter the weekend let us remember all the lessons we've
learned from Mary this week. But most importantly let's not live one more
day "Without Him". God has been and will always be our "Real Love".
Appreciate those who God has allowed to be apart of your life, because you
never know who He given the keys to your destiny too. Have a great weekend.
