Words Of Encouragement To Start The Day (Wednesday 09/01/2010)

Entering With His Presence Or Chasing It Out…

John 15:4-6 (Amplified Bible)

4Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. 5I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. 6If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned.

Many years ago when my daughter was just a little thing, she received a prophecy and part of this prophecy was that just by her very presence in a room it will change the atmosphere. We have watched this manifest itself in her life. She and that infectious smile can light up a room. Her very presence has brought peace and healing to my life and to so many other lives as well within her peer group. Even in her own pains I have watched her give out of someplace supernatural and bring the very presence of God into a place. People are always saying to me and my mom there is something different about her, and there is, in spite of what her friends, associates and peers are doing she is seeking after God, maybe not the way we would do it, but she is and God is walking with her.

Maybe you or I has never received that type of prophecy, but the question is when we enter a room and situation is God going with us, or if He there is our presence causing Him to depart? My girlfriend just had an experience recently where she went to church, and she is a praiser, She will praise God whenever, where ever because she knows what and where God has brought her from and through. Well she was in church praising God and because that was not something most were used to they tried to stifle her praise, but her very presence caused some others to get release and for the spirit of God to move. She is not someone that if you are stuck up and believe it don’t take all that, that you should sit next to because she is going to give God the praise whether you like it or not, but her praise and her worship is God ordained, it is personal so God is entering with her, she does not need to be pumped up, or stimulated by outside forces to get her to realize who God is, she understands that all by herself, because God is with her and abiding in her. I have been in church where they have sat me next to people that have tried to suck the very worship out of me just by their presence, because they brought and attitude of piousness and pride into the place of worship, or a spirit of disobedience and rebellion so much so that it was a battle to see the manifestation of what I knew I brought with me.

For some of us, we have allowed ourselves to be yielded enough to recognize that if we consistently stay in the presence of God He goes with us into every circumstance and He is never far away; that He is available to us if we are available to Him. We understand that when we enter a place His very presence and anointing goes with us. But then there are others, that believe that God owes them something and that they come to be served, and that it is everyone else’s job to bring God and they should just sit back and place a check in their church box or the box that says we were around the people of God this week. God does not owe us, we owe Him. We were created for His good pleasure and it should be our delight to want to dwell with Him and it should be our honor to have Him dwell in us and go where we go. But many of us think that is not the way it is supposed to be. Who enters with you when you enter a place is it you, yourself and you or does the very presence of God go with you!
