Won't Stop Now!!!

2 Corinthians 4:16-17 (New Living Translation)

16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. 17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!

Today's message in the music comes from McFadden & Whitehead's song "Ain't No Stopping Us Now". This Monday marks 26 days until our wedding. Although this is suppose to be - and still will be - one of the happiest days of our lives, the amount of attacks and drama we've experienced has been beyond our comprehension. People often ask if I'm a Bridezilla, and I joke that I wish I could be.

See I haven't had the joy of stressing over flowers, dress not fitting, and a bridesmaid not showing up. The DJ cancelling, bad weather, or not enough food at the reception are not high up on my worry list because of the amount of resistance, manipulation, and plotting we have had to deal with from certain family members. At first we took each blow with a grain of salt and they had no real impact on anything, but as time passed and they got more persistent, their weeds began to grow in our garden of engagement bliss.

Well one day we realized they were not going to stop no matter what we did, didn't do or tried to do. So we made a decision to let the tactics meant to divide us, become tools to help design us into the Kingdom couple God has destined us to be. We made a choice to stand together and to keep going, standing on the Word and promises of God. Now, what started as a journey of 206 days, is down to less than a month and the blessings haven't stopped coming our way.

Today as we begin another week, let us not get weary. The enemy, our enemies, problems, trials and situations are always going to be present in our lives, but we have to get to a place of trusting in God through it all. The song says: Ain't no stopping us now, we're on the move. I love this because it means that although opposition is coming against us, we are still moving forward. So come no flowers, no cake, no guests........a wedding and more importantly a marriage will go down in 26 days in Jesus name. Lets get moving Kingdom Kids of the most high God. Nothing is stopping us, but our lack of faith in Jehovah!!
