Untouchable
Isaiah 54:17 (New Living Translation)
17 But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!
Today's message in the music comes from the title of MC Hammer's song "Can't Touch This". This Monday is 12 days to the wedding, and if I really went into all that has been going on, you'd be reading for a very long time. But something snapped in me last night as I posted a message on my facebook page. God so clearly showed me that although weapons have been attacking us on every side, not one of them had been able to touch us.
There were some that we allowed to upset us, disrupt us and distract us for a moment, but none of them were able to break us. None of them have able to manipulate or destroy what God is doing. Yesterday, we were at a bridal expo and one of the vendors was working up a quote for us, she kept throwing in extra things for us, and making some great suggestions. The favor of God was so evident in the moment to us, but to this stranger she just kept saying, "its just something about you, I can tell your a great bride". Shane and I just smiled, because we knew it was nothing but God. We knew what it cost to continue to smile, to continue to press, to continue to be excited. We knew the price we were paying to still see God, when it seemed all hell was breaking loose around us.
The greatest thing I've learned through all of this, is that God didn't say weapons were not allowed to come at us, He just said that He would not allow them to harm us. Every trail we are facing today is to add another piece to our puzzle of destiny and to give us another opportunity to bring God glory. No matter what we are going through, the world should not see it tearing us down, they should see it causing us to lifit Him up.
Today as we begin another week, let us enter it knowing that alone we are only human, but with God- - satan can't touch this!!!
