Today’s Devotional Written By A Tenacious Individual Who Has A Compassionate Heart To Love People: Mrs. Tracy A Dixon
He Did it for You….The Real You
Hebrews 7:25 (Amplified Bible)
25Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them
Today’s message in the music comes from India.Arie’s song, “He Heals Me”. This past weekend I attended one of the most sentimental weddings of a lifetime. The vows, the atmosphere, and the presence of God was completely overwhelming. Then, just as I thought they couldn’t top it off with anything else, they dedicated songs to each other. The bride picked this song and the words of the chorus were: He heals me. He knows the real me. And he accepts me, he never hurts me.In that moment I was broken and overcome with emotions. Although I felt this way about my own husband, I knew these words spoke directly of the love Christ had for us. All over the world yesterday people celebrated Easter/Resurrection Sunday, but did we really get it? Do we really understand what Christ did for us so many years ago? Do we get that He died for one reason only, because He loved us. He knew some of us would never love Him, believe in Him or live for Him, but He still died for all of us. He knew some would never turn from sin, yet he still took a beaten for our joy, our peace, our healing, and our deliverance.
I love that God’s love for us is unconditional. He knew our shortcomings, our weaknesses and our dirty secrets and He still sent Jesus to redeem us back to Him. I love that God accepts us even with our flaws, and that He never hurts or rejects us. I love that God has made freedom, eternal life, health, prosperity, power and peace available to us whether we deserve it or not. I love that God reigns on the just and the unjust. I love that God judges us all. Today as we begin another week, let us not forget that He truly loved us to death. Let us not take Calvary for granted. Let us determine to give God glory through our living. What are you hiding from? God knows the real you. Confess those things that are keeping you from God, turn from them and then let Him show you a whole new world. He wants to heal you, the real you…. Go ahead and let Him.
