Today’s Devotional Written By A Young Lady That God is Speaking To and Speaking Through: Tracy Koweh ( soon To Be Dixon in 65 days and a wake up)
Have you THANKED your Enemies Lately
Psalm 110:1 (New Living Translation)
1 The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit in the place of honor at my right hand
until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.”
Have you ever quoted some sayings so much, that the meaning has gotten lost in translation? We say "God is good all the time, and all the time God is good". Next to holiness is cleanliness. I'm blessed and highly favored, but do we really believe these words, or do they just make us sound like we've been with God all day.
Many say I'm deep, but God actually speaks to me in the simplest of things. For the past few days, I kept hearing God say: I'll make your enemies your footstool. Of course we've all heard this from the pulpit, along with your enemies will be in the presence of the table God will prepare for you. Well, it wasn't until I was in my guest bathroom looking at Jai's Elmo footstool, that the revelation of that scripture truly hit me.
Wikipedia defines a footstool as a piece of furniture that’s purpose is to support one's feet. Did it hit you yet? Your enemies are there to help you go higher. They are your footstool to get you to the places you can't reach alone. The steps of the righteous man are ordered by God, so if you have enemies in your way, don't move them step on them to step up to where God is taking you.
Today as you begin this hump day, have a renewed spirit and know that God is with you every step of the way. I didn't understand why I had so many against me at this point in my life, until God showed me this. So smile and the next time you see one of YOUR enemies, don't forget to tell them, Thank You: for without them you wouldn't be able to reach the top :o)!!!!!
