The Moving......Paralyzed
Psalm 27:1 (New Living Translation)
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?

When most of us think of a paralyzed person, we picture a person with
some type of handicap or disability. We imagine someone who is unable to move, or someone in a wheelchair. But what about us, the moving paralyzed? What about us, who are blessed to have the mobility of all our limbs, but our mind, is holding us captive? If we let the seeds of deception, manipulation, negativity and fear planted by others invade our mind, and they can cause us to become stuck....unable to move, to breathe, to dream, to hope, to feel.
As I sat a few weeks ago thinking about some decisions I'll have to make soon, some assignments I'd have to complete and some things in my life that are getting ready to change......with or without my permission, the fear of the unknown literally paralyzed me. We all say, the mind is a terrible thing to waste, but it’s also a dangerous playground. If we give fear just an inch into our thoughts, it has the power to destroy us. The mind is where thoughts, ideas and victories begin. The mind is more powerful than any drug we could be addicted to.
The mind can cause hallucinations, depression and sickness. The mind can uplift, restore self-esteem, and show you the beauty in an ugly situation. Our mind is what we make it. The Bible says that God did not give us the spirit of fear, but a sound mind. So don't be afraid of situations you may be facing today. Don't let the enemy, your past, your peers or your perception scare you into a mental disability. You can do all things through Christ. Let God renew your mind daily. Make a conscience decision to cancel the words of others, the mistakes of your past and the plans of your enemies.
Take your mind back today by getting in God's word and letting the Holy Spirit guide you. Today, stand for yourself. Don't go another minute stuck in your mind. Take it day by day, step by step. It's time to get moving as children of God. Will you walk the walk, or get left behind........in time, your mind will tell.
