Words Of Encouragement To Start The Day (Tuesday 07/19/2011)

I Don’t Just Need Him For Me, But I Need Him For You Too!
Psalm 19:12-14 Amplified Bible (AMP)
12Who can discern his lapses and errors? Clear me from hidden [and unconscious] faults. 13Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then shall I be blameless, and I shall be innocent and clear of great transgression. 14Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my [firm, impenetrable] Rock and my Redeemer.
Have you ever had someone that you did right by, take your good and throw it right back in your face by stabbing you in the back, or betraying your trust?  Have you ever been in a situation where you did everything that was pleasing in God’s sight when handling how people were treating you, and you still got kicked in the teeth again while you were down looking up?  Have ever had someone smile in your face all the while doing you dirty and placing a dagger deeper and deeper in your back?  I came to the realization that when I was praying “Lord I Need You,” it wasn’t just for me.  I found myself crying out and telling God I need Him, because of how people were treating me and the things that they were often doing to me. I realized that my need for God was yes because He is my all and my air, but it is also because if I didn’t cry out to my God,  I would be taking some people to the night water.
Many times we get ourselves in trouble because we do not realize that we need God to put us in check, to hold us back, and to keep us from falling into a place where the enemy can get in and convince you to fall into a place of anger and sin. We are crying out to God for all of our material need but we are not crying out to God for what is going on within, the things that are festering underneath the surface within us that takes us out of the will of God and places us at risk, to miss God’s blessings and Him working things out on our behalf. We need God to keep us in a place of humility and a place where we do not take matters into our own hands. We need God to keep us focused on His will and the mandate that is upon our lives.  We need God to keep us doing the right thing in spite of what people are doing to us; to keep us in a mindset that it is more important to please God than to get back at people.  We need God to keep our mind off of how to get back at people and our mouth off of people. God gave us a range of emotions, anger, and hurt are some of those emotions, but the Bible tells us not to allow anger to overtake us in manner where we fall into sin. We need God to hold us back sometimes from knocking some people out.
We all have struggles in life; we all need God whether we know it or not, but most of do not realize the extent we need God.  We don’t realize that we need God to subdue the beast that can raise up and over take us.  God says vengeance is mine I will repay. He said that He will make our enemies our foot stools, and that He will make our enemies to rise up and bless us. The Bible says that the pit or ditch we dig for someone will become ours.  There is no need sometimes to get in the ring with some people, and the issues and even the plots and plans that they have waged against us.  The Bible does not say the enemy will not come, but He does promise what he brings to the party will not prosper.  We don’t need to wrapped up in the mess that people bring, and the trouble that they try to cause, what we do need is God all up in our lives, all up in our situations keeping us from being consumed and keeping us from losing it on people. We need God to keep us off of people and on the course that He has chosen for us.  God is God all by Himself, He does not need us to handle certain things, especially not those who come to harm us; He does want us to handle our praise, our worship, our callings and those things that He has entrusted us with.  Realize that we need God, not just for stuff but for how we handle things and how we react in situations that people come to do us in. Realize we need God to be able to pray for those who despitefully use you, and bless those who curse you.  Remember people will always reap what they sow, so that means that we just need to stay out of the way, and let God do the rest.  We need God right there!
