Words Of Encouragement To StartThe Day ( Monday 07/11/2011)

An Extraordinary Work In My Life…

Jeremiah 18:3-6 Amplified Bible (AMP)
3Then I went down to the potter's house, and behold, he was working at the wheel. 4And the vessel that he was making from clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he made it over, reworking it into another vessel as it seemed good to the potter to make it. 5Then the word of the Lord came to me: 6O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does? says the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.

This weekend I had the opportunity to be abundantly blessed with another year. For the past approximately seven years or so God has lead me to do something a bit unusual on my birthday; I was led some seven or eight years ago to begin to give gifts to family on my birthday or to enjoy the day with them doing something that they wanted to do. This year was extremely different, my father has been ill, and I have been sticking close to home…Everyone was asking what I wanted to do, days before I did not feel lead to go out.  While I was praying the day before, I inquired what was my agenda for this year on my birthday, I felt lead in my spirit to ensure that everyone that took the time out of their day to extend birthday greetings would get a personal thank you…and an expression of my gratitude and God’s love extended through me...For some reason again God was letting me know that my gratitude for those around me and for Him allow me life, and to have many that cared enough was more important than anything this year.  At midnight I post on my Facebook a prayer of gratitude, and began responding to all those who had already taken the time to send a message. But God began to work in those moments; He began to extend the gratitude to the gift of ministering to others all throughout my birthday. It was the most extraordinary day.  God had taken someone that was so caught up in ensuring that she was not slighted to someone that would totally lay down my agenda for His, when I stepped back and looked at it all, I was amazed at the miracle that has become me.
Today’s message in the music is from Atlantic Starr’s, “Masterpiece.” The chorus and one of the last verses says, “I've found a masterpiece in you…a work of art it's true…And I treasure you my love…I've found a masterpiece in you…a work of art it's true…And I treasure you…Sometimes I wonder what I'd be…Had I not found you…A least and lonely soul this world…could show me nothing new…But now my life's a canvas…painted with your love…And it will always be…And now I see.” Often times we look at our lives and we can always identify what is wrong, without seeing what is right, or what is good.  It is easy to see what we are lacking, but what about all that we have been blessed with and afforded.  We complain about our circumstance, but we lack to take the time to offer praise to God for allowing us to see another day, and that He did not cease to think of us so that our existence did not end in an instant.  We can be so absorbed with ourselves that we forget about the emotions, the feelings and the needs of God and others. But when we are determined to live a life yielded to God He can rework our warped thinking, behaviors, character and personality and turn us into someone useful, viable and an integral part of His kingdom, in spite of our imperfections. He can make us His beautiful Masterpiece.  He is better than a Master magician he can do more than pull a rabbit out of a hat, he can pull the very best out of us, and He can take what is broken and make it whole and make it something that makes us even more useful.
God is a Master craftsman.  He can shape and mold us into the well-designed, beautifully fashioned, precious and integral creation for His Kingdom’s work.  He can take the things in us that others view as weaknesses and utilize them to draw others.  He can take the attitude that once was and make it become what He needs it to be.  He can take what we were blind to and open our eyes so wide that we can read what is not written on people, in order for us to speak life into them...He can take us in our weakness and become the strength that we need not just for ourselves but for those placed around us. Have you become the Master’s piece? The extraordinary work yielded in His hands?  If not you may want to lay all that you are at Hid feet for He has more use of it than you do and He can fix what you can’t and the things that you and I think is ugly, hideous or a disaster can become His greatest work, if only we will yield to Him!
