Assassination Attempt…
1 Samuel 7:9-11 Amplified Bible (AMP)
9So Samuel took a sucking lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the Lord; and Samuel cried to the Lord for Israel, and the Lord answered him. 10As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to attack Israel. But the Lord thundered with a great voice that day against the Philistines and threw them into confusion, and they were defeated before Israel. 11And the men of Israel went out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines and smote them as far as below Beth-car.
One of the oddest things that I have found is that no matter what you do, there is ALWAYS someone that will be sent into your life to assassinate you, your character, your anointing, and even your life. A matter of a fact the more you push into Christ and identify yourself as a person who is a worshipper, a person of integrity, one chosen and set apart, the enemy will use people to try to take you out. I remember a few years ago we were at a woman’s fellowship and the woman who ministered in that moment, was talking about haters and how they would always be there and those you can identify, because they were loud and would always tell on themselves. Then she began to identify a different type of enemy which does not come just to wound you but to kill you whether spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically or in all areas; these peoples are assassins. They will be some of the people that are closes to you; they will tell you how great you are, ride in your car, smile in your face, and all the while plotting to take you out, because they are an assignment sent against you.
I love Hezekiah Walkers song “God Favored Me,” because it speaks of that specific type of assassin, that specific type of assignment, sent to destroy us and our character; our ability to love and to trust and to live. The enemy’s assassination of us does not have to be a physical death, but it can result in us, having the inability to live the way God intended and to His full potential. In this generation of social networking assassins will use any means to slander, talk about, and attempt to ruin our reputation, attack our character and dignity. This type of sniper fire has caused people to take their own life or throw up their hands and give up. But the one thing I have learned is that, when the enemy comes in, it is God who raises the standard, it is Him that will prove who His chosen people and who are undercover assassins are attempting to put themselves off as His people. We always need to know and understand that no matter what, if we are living right, there will be enemies in the camp, sent into to take us down and take us out, that is why it pays to be hid in Christ, to have your whole armor on. We should Have the word in us, and living in a manner pleasing to God, so that we are cloaked with His protection, and that He is the one that goes out before us and protects us from the enemy and even foils the plots and plans of those sent in to kill and destroy. He will give us eyes to see who they are, and wisdom to know how to proceed.
There are people that have and are experiencing people sent into their camp to ruin them, kill the anointing in the them, kill their purpose and God’s plan, but if we are praying for God to reveal the truth of which people are, He will. I have seen the scripture that says, the ditch or pit we dig for others becomes our own. The destruction that was planned for us will become the fate of those plotting and planning against us, because God before us is more than the world against us. When we have the word, prayer and praise, it is best arsenal we can. We should be becoming great at receiving Intel, and carrying our special ops as assassination plans are revealed. God is more powerful, and God in us is more than any attack or assassination attempt against us, we just need to stay focused and let Him do the revealing and the leading. Don’t get discouraged when you see these things happening it is a sure sign that God is with you!
