Words Of Encouragement To Start The Day (Monday 07/12/10)

Are You Worth Him Showing Up!!

Exodus 33:16 (New Living Translation)

16 How will anyone know that you look favorably on me—on me and on your people—if you don’t go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.”

Today's message in the music comes from Toni Braxton's "You Mean the World to Me". The first few lines of the chorus say: Cause you mean the world to me. You are my everything. I swear the only thing that matters. Matters to me. Today is my birthday, but my greatest joy this past weekend was in celebrating someone else's- - -Lisa.

I won't go into details of her special day (because its hers to share),but I will say that this song describes our relationship so well. I'm sure Shane was wondering had I lost my mind when I told him of all the things I had planned and even the few people around me were shocked that although my special day was right around the corner, the only thing I could focus on was giving Lisa a day that most only dream of.

The other night Shane asked me if I wanted to marry him or Lisa. I joked Lisa at first, but then I had to explain to him that Lisa held a place in my heart that no one would ever be able to take- - - I made sure to let him know the same was true for him and then some, and also that he would be second under God always. The point was that there are some things that Lisa has done for me that words will never be able to thank her for, and actions/money will never be able to repay her for.

This is how the Father should feel about us. When our name comes up in Heaven, it should invoke a desire in the Father's heart to bless us beyond measure. We should live our lives in such a matter that the "wake them up" blessing should not be the only blessing we receive. He should want to bless in such a way that the world can see how much we really mean to Him. I am so grateful to celebrate 29 years of living, but its the growth and grace of God the last 28 that is blowing my mind.

Today I pray we all step up our game, our walk, our faith, our lives. May the reality of what Christ did on Calvary be with us each and every day. We meant the world to Him, to die for us. Does He mean the world to us--- to die and be reborn in Him?
