Today’s Devotional Written By A Young Lady Who Is Endowed With Vision: Tracy Koweh
Play Book Breach
John 10:10 (Amplified Bible)
10The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it [a]overflows).
Today's message in the music comes from the title of Ludacris's song "Get Low"; the chorus just keeps repeating the question: How low can you go? Although the song is asking a question of how low can you go on the dance floor, it makes me think of how low the enemy goes in real life.
I was talking to Lisa about a month ago and I told her that I feel like the devil stole a copy of God's destiny book. Like a player on a baseball team, stealing another coach's play book to give them an advantage at the next game. I believe that satan knows every blessing, breakthrough, and kingdom benefit that has our name on it. I believe he knows the day and time that we will inherit each thing and as the day comes closer he begins to pull out the heavy artillary.
The problem is not in that attack of the believer, but the belief of the believer. I think we pray, fast and pray some more, but because God doesn't pop out of the box and bring us the victory, the promotion, or the healing when we feel He should, we begin to get discouraged. Our discourgement leads to disbelief and then that leads to defeat. Then right when we are on the edge of our breakthrough, we give up, throw in the towel and then ask God why.
Today as you begin another week, begin to rejoice in category four storms because there is a category four blessing on the other side. Know that satan doesn't need to attack a friend, only a foe. If satan is after you, then there is something waiting for you. Don't become satan's next employer, his resume says he is here to steal, kill and destroy. Give satan his pink slip and head on over to the victory finish line. Don't let the attacks of the enemy get you down in the dumps, let them get you down on your knees and seeking the author of everything, Jehovah. Whose report will you believe???
