Words Of Encouragement To Start The Day (Wednesday 01/12/2011)

It Really Is, Even When We Can’t See It…

Romans 8:27-29 (New Living Translation)

27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers[a] in harmony with God’s own will. 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together[b] for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. 29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

Psalm 118:5-6 (Amplified Bible)

5Out of my distress I called upon the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free and in a large place. 6The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
Have you ever had one of those weeks, months or even years when it seems like the enemy has given up working on everyone and anyone else and ALL of his attention is focused on you.  That the term “All hell is breaking loose” is all too familiar; you don’t have to say it, or even think about it because you are living it? It seems like the circumstances and events in your life are being designed just to try to get you to kirk out, place your Jesus down, or just give someone a big enough piece of your mind to replace the one you swear they lost or misplaced.  I have learned that in these times that God is working most, not in a visible sense but in a very invisible place, but a very relevant place.
It is in these times we have choices to make.  Will we will stand and believe God and know that He hears us and is working things out for our good; or will we give up and give into our emotions, our flesh or our mindsets.  For many of us our choices are second nature and we make them without thought or prayer; for others of us, we know if we don’t pray we are bound to do something that will cause us to compromise our walk with God, and our faith will waiver.  When the pressure is on, it determines who we really are, what is on the inside of us and who we really serve.  If all we can see is what is actually occurring and we feel we must give into it by fighting our own battles, putting people in their place and trying hard to change things for ourselves, we are missing the bigger picture, we are missing what God is doing.  We may not be able to see what God is doing, but if we could just trust Him, we would realize God is working on us, from the inside out.  He is challenging us to grow, and He is enlarging our territory, our capacities and abilities.  But we always have a choice to allow the growth to take place and the lessons to be learned and people to be moved or not.  God will never do anything to override our will. If we understood the things that take place good and bad have a purpose in our process we would start thanking people for giving us a hard time, or rubbing us the wrong way, because we would understand our ability to hold on, trust God and not to give into our desire to go off or lose it, is God working in us and working some things out of us as well; we would understand that we are growing and we are placing ourselves in a position for God to handle the situations and place us in a venue that is larger than our present circumstance, and at the same time God will come in and subdue our enemies and bless us in spite of people.
The next time you are facing a challenging day, week, month or year, remember to smile, and look up, because God is working.  He is working it out for your good, enlarging your territory and setting you up to be blessed, if you respond well (His way), under pressure. There is no problem too hard for God, no task too big for Him to handle and no situation to overwhelming, so take it all to Him and allow Him to guide you through those days, for the end result will be a more beautiful you from the inside out, and a person that is equipped to handle all that God is wanting to bestow upon them, and as an added bonus He will be the one who handles your enemies, by causing them to bless you and to become your step to elevation.  Don’t lose heart, it is all about perspective it is working out in your favor, really it is!
