Toxic Transfusions
Exodus 23:31-33 (Amplified Bible)
31I will set your borders from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the river [Euphrates]; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand and you shall drive them out before you. 32You shall make no covenant with them or with their gods. 33They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me; for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.
Deuteronomy 12:30-32 (Amplified Bible)
30Be watchful that you are not ensnared into following them after they have been destroyed before you and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? We will do likewise. 31You shall not do so to the Lord your God, for every abominable thing which the Lord hates they have done for their gods. For even their sons and their daughters they have burned in the fire to their gods. 32Whatever I command you, be watchful to do it; you shall not add to it or diminish it.
I knew someone that had received a blood transfusion. Now many of you may be asking what is the big deal that is a routine procedure is. Normally it is, but not when a mistake is made and you are transfused with the wrong blood type that is contrary to yours, it becomes a life threatening event.. This person become gravely ill and almost lost their lives because of this mistake. You see the life is in the blood, and to have that life source tainted, contaminated or drained from us can cost us our lives (spiritual and physical). This is what happens when we allow people to transfuse different properties into us, that are not aligned with God and who He is. It can destroy our very lives and place us in a dangerous zone. God does not want us to reject people, but He does want us to be obedient to what He preordained and determined.
God does not want us to reject people that may be different but He does not want us to adapt who we are in Him either. He does make it clear that we are not to adopt the behaviors, attitudes, worship styles and customs of those who we encounter that worship or believe differently from what He has commanded us to do. I remember how excited our Bishop was when he began to be encountered by a Muslim brother that would come to the fellowship and ask questions. The excitement was being able to live the life before Him and live the word and watch God work in His life. It was not for our Pastor to adopt and put on His beliefs it was for him to be obedient to the will of God in His life and do the will of the Father. It was not for our Pastor to defend the Gospel, because it needs no defense; it was for him to continue to speak the truth because the truth is the element that frees us. It was not for him to go in and begin to compromise and alter his belief system and allow a transfusion of information and behaviors to take place, but it was for him to allow the anointing of God and the obedience to God to be seen, that produces unmerited favor.
All too often we want to allow people to transfuse their way of doing and thinking on us, just to be in a place of harmony and acceptance with them. But God does not want us to do that. He wants us to Seek Him and abides in Him and Him in us and never to worship any other before Him. He does not want us to let people infuse us with stuff contrary to His will and what He has determined in His word. Don’t allow your blood to be tainted, or contaminated; ensure that you are receiving all your transfusions from the very presence of the almighty. Don’t look to the left or right, but look to the hills from where your help and your salvation comes from, where your knowledge and blessing flow from...Don’t allow the enemy to come in and persuade you to do a thing his way…and cause your blood line to become unclean.
