Words Of Encouragement To End The Day (Friday 06/24/2011)

Have You Read My Resume?

1 Corinthians 1:5-8 Amplified Bible (AMP)

5[So] that in Him in every respect you were enriched, in full power and readiness of speech [to speak of your faith] and complete knowledge and illumination [to give you full insight into its meaning]. 6In this way [our] witnessing concerning Christ (the Messiah) was so confirmed and established and made sure in you 7That you are not [consciously] falling behind or lacking in any special spiritual endowment or Christian grace [[a]the reception of which is due to the power of divine grace operating in your souls by the Holy Spirit], while you wait and watch [constantly living in hope] for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and [His] being made visible to all. 8And He will establish you to the end [keep you steadfast, give you strength, and guarantee your vindication; He will be your warrant against all accusation or indictment so that you will be] guiltless and irreproachable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).
Last week and this week have had its challenges. Not just for me but so many the last straw was this morning as I turned on the computer and began to start to write and found the computer was infected with a virus that had taken out many of the programs on the computer. I could have screamed but instead I prayed tried to clean it and when it did not respond, I prayed again and took a nap. It is funny about sleep, God does His work in me, when I rest or sleep, it is almost as if He hits a reset button in me. When I woke up, I felt refreshed and calmer. I sat and talked with my sister and my daughter and took in a deep breathe as my daughter read up on cleaning the computer, and found a method to back door the systems and clean it out enough for the computer to begin to function...I had to laugh as I heard inmy spirit loud and clear, Did you forget what is on my resume, or have you reread it recently...
All too often when we get bombarded with things, events and even people that will pile their issues and feelings on top of the enemies full blown attack upon us. We have a choice in these moments to give into what is going and get into a place of despair or to refer to God'a resume and His level of faithfulness towards us. We have a choice to have a melt down or to strap up and put on the armor of God and say I refuse to go down without a fight. We can choose to lose sleep or rest in God knowing that He has not left you nor forsaken you and that He has and is ready to bring you through victorious, more than a conquer in order for you to get back to the business of the Kingdom. Just as when we are being looked or considered for a job, people look at our resume, they looked at our education our work experience and the success and consistency we have had getting the job done. Well why is it when it comes to being in the midst of a trial that we forget and do not remember what God has done for us, how faithful He has been and all that He has accomplished in our lives?
There is no situation to hard for God. Even when we feel like we are in bondage or in a situation where the lion is fast baring down on us to devour us, God has the power to free us; He has the ability to close the mouth of lion. We only need to remmebr the last time we were in a jam, the last time we were close to the edge, the last time people threaten us, the last time we were down to our last. Just as God was present then, He is and will be present with us through this, and bring us out better than we went in. We just have to remember what is on God's resume...He Always Gets The Job Done!
