In Need Of CPR…
Psalm 119:25-30 (Amplified Bible)
25My earthly life cleaves to the dust; revive and stimulate me according to Your word! 26I have declared my ways and opened my griefs to You, and You listened to me; teach me Your statutes. 27Make me understand the way of Your precepts; so shall I meditate on and talk of Your wondrous works. 28My life dissolves and weeps itself away for heaviness; raise me up and strengthen me according to [the promises of] Your word. 29Remove from me the way of falsehood and unfaithfulness [to You], and graciously impart Your law to me. 30I have chosen the way of truth and faithfulness; Your ordinances have I set before me.
One of the most difficult things to deal with is to be let down, disappointed, abused or hurt by someone that you love or care about. The death of a relationship is also one of the most tragic and devastating events. These types of events can leave you hanging on for dear life, literally and figuratively. It can put you in a place where your heart hurts so bad that it feels like it may stop and it is hard for you to catch your breath. Your heard hurts from trying to rationalize the outcome and why it had to be this way, But God, for no one else really knows but Him. He is also the only one that can heal, restore, revive and resurrect.
In this season, judgment and exposure are causing many a heart to fail; there are many of us, no matter how strong we are and how much we are seeking God’s face, we are finding it hard to reason many events and they are taking us to a place in our spiritual walk where we are need of God to breath into us, to give us mouth to mouth and to resuscitate our heart beat. The sadness that is gripping us as a nation, as a people is insurmountable to some. As we are trying our hardest to come to grips with how God could and would allow certain things we are also trying to rationalize why people are behaving as they are, what is their motivation, what has got them, in a place where it seems that all is giving way to ruin. But there are times when it has nothing to do with others and all to do with who we are, and what we are doing. We have allowed our focus, our commitment and our living to change because we have chosen us, over God, we have chosen to give into the flesh, instead of staying focused on the Spirit of God for guidance direction and power. We are being turned about by so many things, by what is and who is popular, by fame, position, money power and influence. We are forgetting to acknowledge God and keep our focus. We are dictating what is acceptable instead of accepting what is said to not be suitable.
We are dying and not even realizing for all of that is going on that we are allowing the life to be sucked right out of us. We are letting people, poison us with influence and compromise, and we are allowing ourselves to be suffocated by all of the scandal, drama and issues that are hitting the churches we attend, the homes we live in and the jobs we work at. We can find no place of tranquility and peace, for they all seem to be getting swallowed up by the crazy that is this world. We are in need of God in the worst way. We need for Him to refocus our attention and to guide us out of the mess that we have allowed to overcome us and be our focus… II Chronicles 7:14 says: “If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.” God wants to give us what we need to survive, to make it and be successful, but some of us are in refusal to lie still long enough for Him to minister to us. We are in denial about what is really going on and the damage that all that is surrounding us has caused. We need God in a most desperate context, but the question is whether we have signed a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) order. For without God breathing on us, our situations and circumstance we will die spiritually, and mentally and emotionally and one day physically. Let Him Breath and restore your life so you can live and live abundantly!
