Words Of Encouragement to Start The Day (Wednesday 05/17/2011)

Understanding Why, The It….

Proverbs 3:25-28 (New International Version)

25 Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, 26 for the LORD will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared. 27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act. 28 Do not say to your neighbor, “Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you”— when you already have it with you.

I must admit I wish I can take full credit for the title and illumination that came that has cultivated this blog, but I can’t.   I must give credit to my Bishop K. W. Brown, who shared this past Sunday in a pre-sermon moment that we need to realize that there is an “it” that gets us to a why…I was just struggling through understanding a situation and what may have brought it one and the why of it all, when that word came forth  and cleared it up…The it, the thing, the event, the circumstance will come to often get us to a point of why. It gets us to a point of understanding and a place of clarity and pushes us to a place to receive what God has, or may have intended all along.
I know most of you are thinking easier said than done.  When we are in the midst of a crisis and things are not feeling good, looking good or even giving us an indicator that God cares, many of us will take matters into our own hands, and often this will make matters worse.  Instead of having one issue or problem, we will have more than one or a compound problem. But even when the waves are raging and the winds are blowing if we can understand it is all for my making and it is all a part of the process to get us from our present day “it” to our future “why.” The why’s are never a known factor when the “it” is going on.  We never know in the midst of baby mama drama that God would allow restoration within our relationship with our children.  We can never see that when our money is more than funny that if we keep paying our tithes that the lack factor has to be removed from us, and supply of our needs has to come.  We never think that when we are with the wrong ones or dumped on by the wrong one that there is even a right one, but there is.  You see that “It” is so big that it blocks our ability to see passed it, around it or over it to the position of your “Why” the answer to prayer, the promise fulfilled or the deliverance received.
Can you see what God is doing?  Even if you can’t fully will you trust Him to lead you into all truth?  It is not the “It” that is important it is the arriving safely to the why of the matter, and being able to see it is that “it” that was the path, or sometimes that means by which we get our deliverance or our promise.  Things do not always come neatly package sometime he box arrives all beat up and tattered as if it has been though something, but when we open it, the items  have arrived in tact and all in one piece as the sender intended it to be!
