Love Me Beyond Words
John 14:21 (New International Version, ©2011)
21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
Today’s message in the music comes from LL Cool J’s song “Who Do You Love”. The chorus of the song says: “Who do you love? Are you for sure?” This entire year God has been allowing the core of who we are to be exposed. He has been separating the faithful from the fake, the praisers from the problems, the worshippers from the weak. This year the Lord has required us to show ourselves in truth, either we love Him enough to obey Him, or we are simply living a life of lip service.
I was listening to the radio on the way to church and Kirk Franklin said that everything we do is a matter of the heart. The things we love the most are the things we will NOT compromise with. So if you compromise with sex before marriage, God is not that high up on your love list. If you pay your tithes after your bills are paid, your love for Christ is not as true as you would have others to believe. If you condone homosexuality and adultery, then you are trying to love, serve and please two masters, and God is a jealous God.
I believe that God is not concerned with the atheist, the Buddhist, or the Muslim in these last days, but I do believe He is judging His house. He is weeding through His garden of roses and pulling out the perpetrators, the liars, and the under covers. He is exposing the true intents from the pulpit to the pews. Love is an action word and it requires dedication and commitment on a minute to minute basis. God doesn’t love us only when we act right, do right and live right, so why do we continue to love Him when things are going right, seem right and look right. He won’t shake this live right message, which means His tolerance is running out. Be who are want to be because God gave us all free will, but stop hiding behind who you want people to believe you are. Love God and yourself enough, to be the real you. Its put up or shut up time in the kingdom. If you truly love God, prove it…………..with your life, your giving and your living.
