Do You Know Who’s Accusing You?
Zechariah 3:1-5 Amplified Bible (AMP)
1THEN [the guiding angel] showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at Joshua's right hand to be his adversary and to accuse him. 2And the Lord said to Satan, The Lord rebuke you, O Satan! Even the Lord, Who [now and habitually] chooses Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this [returned captive Joshua] a brand plucked out of the fire? 3Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and was standing before the Angel [of the Lord]. 4And He spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And He said to [Joshua], Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich apparel. 5And I [Zechariah] said, Let them put a clean turban on his head. So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with [rich] garments. And the Angel of the Lord stood by.
This week I had someone offer congratulations laced with sarcasm, insincerity and a warning because of how they were feeling about the individuals involved and their own sense of loss; then they tried to back it up with an accusation of mocking the Word of God because I stood my spiritual ground and recognized the spirit in which the individual was coming and the intent of their words to be destructive and a distraction, and in Holy Boldness spoke to its intent. As I read those words I felt the Holy Spirit rise up in me, this is statement my Grandma James use to make all of the time that I didn’t quite understand until I became older and had gone through some things and had matured in the Lord. I heard clearly, “I put the Sword of the Spirit in your mouth to lop off the head of the enemy I have called you as a prophet unto the nations speak to it.” I spoke not at the individual but the satanic force that was at work within the individual, understanding that it was only Satan that tries to accuse the brethren, and not the Spirit of God operating in truth, to bring about correction.
I have had to learn a valuable lesson about recognition. You see I use to be afraid to say that people that profess God were oppressed and even possess by the enemy. But I had to learn that everyone that cries Holy is not. I had to learn to lean not to my own understanding and start asking God to give me a stronger, more powerful spirit of discernment in order for me to recognize the enemy as they were coming and what was their mission and intent in whatever situation or person they were assigned to. Many times we will write things off to people but it really is the enemy working through them. We lack understanding about spiritual warfare and demonic movement and operation because many of us do not want to deal with that portion of our spiritual walk. My Grandma James was unafraid to call a demon a demon, and sling some oil on whoever was allowing that thing to operate in and through them. Many of us are scared to say what we see, that is why the enemy keeps coming at us, because He knows we are scared and we have not learned to wield the Sword of the Spirit that should be in our hearts, mind and mouth. The enemy stands to accuse and try to discredit the anointing of God on our lives. He also comes to try to remind us of our past and the mistakes we have made. If you have someone in your life that does this they are not of God and have a spirit in operation in them, I don’t care who they are, if they are spouse, big mama, auntie, or whomever. God places our sins and our past in the sea of forgetfulness to remember them no more, only Satan wants you to remember that junk with the hopes of keeping you from accomplishing the mission and purpose of God on your life or causing you to think and feel like you can never get passed it! That is a lie straight from the pit of HELL!!!
Don’t be scared, don’t be fooled and don’t make excuses. It is time to recognize the enemy, recognizing people that are operating in generational pain and oppression; we have to recognize the enemy and his tactics and speak to the spirit not at the individual! We have to know what we are fighting to fight effectively and what weapons within our arsenal to utilize. It is time to put on the whole armor of God to be able to withstand the attacks of the enemy! The Bible says that He has made our hands to war...You will win, if you are equipped and let God fight through you!
